One of the best things about being in a creative business is the people we get to hang around with. We work with a tight group of photographers, videographers, illustrators and creatives on all sorts of projects, and we often share loads of common interests.

One such creator is Matt Ben-Stone. He’s a massive cycling fan who in the quiet moments when he’s not shooting award winning shots of world record attempts or shooting creative work for sports and lifestyle brands, he’s one of our go-to-good-guys for shots of our bikes.

He shot our Escher bike, the photos from which were distributed on Hypebeast. His work is just that good.

Last time he was in he told us about a new passion project he’d shot on a full format film camera.

Large format cameras are still used when a certain image quality is needed. The kit looks like a camera from an old movie, complete with blanket that the photographer disappears under to get the shot. The results - when handled properly - can be incredible and unsurprisingly full format lends itself to the large format prints this project produced.

The subject matter in this case was the boards of some of the UK’s most well loved Velodromes, and we just love the way he’s captured an atmosphere in the images and described the banking up close and personal.

If you’ve ever ridden on track, we think you’ll get what we mean and if you haven’t but have been seduced by the romance of track cycling and the rite of passage riders take when they race, you can do worse than take a look at the set. They’re really stunning.

Produced on aluminium plate and professionally framed, each print is 1 of 1 and the set or individual pieces from the set are available now, till they’re sold.
