Spoon Customs Sestriere Road
With Sestriere, we wanted to show that full-custom bikes can be just as affordable as off-the-peg models. Of course, a good price means little without the right performance to back it up. Lightweight, comfortable and communicative, the Sestriere’s hand-built Scandium frame delivers superior ride quality and durability compared to more humble aluminium bikes. A short front-centre, rear-centre and all-round responsive angles means Sestriere comes alive in the corners without giving away an ounce of your efforts on the straightaways and climbs. Completed with big-brand carbon wheels, wireless shifting, disc braking, and a quality carbon finishing kit—and available in an unlimited number of custom colourways—all for under £5k, get in touch to start your custom Sestriere today.
Features
Flawless Italian Fabrication
Strong tig welds first require the highest level of precision in the mitre of each tube. Combined with an expert tack-and-weld sequence, never far from the alignment plate, this makes for a perfectly straight bike, built way beyond even the highest standards in mass manufacturing.
Superior Ride Quality
Built from triple-butted Dedacciai Scandium tubing, Sestriere balances a responsive feel and reactive power transfer with a comfortable ride-quality. Lighter, stiffer and stronger than traditional alloy frames, Sestriere’s use of Scandium lets us deliver a bespoke bike with the ride feel of a bike that would typically cost much, much more.
No Cut Corners
Don’t let Sestriere’s affordability fool you. At its core, this is still a Spoon. That means hand-selected tubing, tig-welded by master craftspeople at our Italian partner’s fabrication facility. That also means top-performing parts, options for full-custom paint and sizing designed to your exact specs and riding needs—a truly better bike, inspired by our landscape, built for yours.
As seen in:
Geometry
A shortened wheelbase, reduced front-centre and rear-centre and near-telepathic steering geo means Sestriere rides like a rocket. Explore the angles and measurements below. Please note that we specify relatively traditional top-tube geometry in our ‘stock size’ examples, so in some sizes, the stand-over height may be limited. Give us a call to discuss your specific fit requirements or come in for custom measurements.
